Weekly Events
Sunday Church Service
Regular worship Services are held every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. The services are traditional Presbyterian services with praise led by the Choir. Rides to and from Church are arranged weekly for those that need them.
A Nursery is provided for babies and children aged two years of age and under and is open to accept our young guests before the worship service.
The children who will attend Church School remain in the sanctuary with their parents or grandparents for the first part of the service. After this, the Minister will invite the children to join him for a short story and prayer before the children go off to the Church School for organized lessons. After the service, parents and grandparents pick up the children and join the rest of the congregation for light refreshments and fellowship.

Nursery and Church School Program
The Nursery opens at 10:15 a.m. to receive babies and children under two years of age. Two or more adults from the congregation supervise the Nursery. The Nursery volunteers remain in the Nursery until the little ones are picked up by their parents. The Nursery is located in a bright, airy custom-built facility in the new wing of the building and is adjacent to an enclosed patio.
The Church School Program is held year round and, it too, is located in the new wing of the building. Separate classes are held for age groups from pre-school to grade 6. The children remain in the sanctuary with their parents or grandparents for about the first 15 minutes of the service, during which time, the Minister will invite them to join him for a short story and prayer before they go off to the Church School for organized lessons.

Choir
If you like to sing, we would like to meet you? We meet for practice on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. We also meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m. for a short practice before the worship service. We are a friendly group and have a lot of laughs.
Pastoral Care Activities
The Pastoral Care team works behind the scenes to meet the varied needs of the congregation. These include arranging rides to attend church or important medical appointments for those without transport, providing Stories-on-Tape and visiting shut-ins who would like an occasional visitor, sending cards of encouragement or condolence to our church family members who are in our thoughts, and providing numerous other little kindnesses to those members in need.

Monday Social Club
The Social Club meets each Monday at the church from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. The ladies and men play many different types of card games. A special event is normally organized each month. In the past, these events have included a pizza luncheon prepared by the men, a summer barbeque and daytime visits to various theatres. Newcomers who would like to enjoy fellowship and play cards are warmly welcomed.

Wednesday Lunch Group
The group meets on the third Wednesday of each month in one of the local restaurants for a light meal in a comfortable social setting. The group comprises of about 15 to 20 people who try out the food at different local restaurants and get to know each other. There is a lot of good conversation and many laughs.

Men’s Social Club ~ Thursdays
A number of men from the congregation play Euchre and other card games at the church on Thursdays from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Many of the men who attend the Monday Social Group are regulars at the Thursday session. On most Tuesdays during the summer, some of the men play 9 holes of golf at Pineland Greens Golf Club on Safari Road.

Women’s Auxiliary
With a membership of about 30, the Women’s Auxiliary is a group of enthusiastic women who meet on the first Wednesday each month for lunch, fun, fellowship and fundraising. Typical fundraising events have included bake sales, tearooms, coffee mornings, etc. Recently, our Women’s Auxiliary through World Vision were able to purchase two goats and also antibiotics for 10 children.

Women’s Missionary Society
We are a group of about a dozen very dedicated ladies who meet on the third Monday evening of each month. We have a short worship service at each of our meetings and follow up with a study session on some current and relevant subject. A recent topic was Aids/HIV when we examined the disastrous effects of this plague on humankind in the third world. We also directed a significant part of our fundraising efforts to help mitigate the effects of this enormous problem believing it is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

Book Sale
The book sale is held on the first Sunday every month during the fellowship time that follows the worship service. Everyone is invited to donate their recently-read spare books to the book sale so that others can enjoy the same pleasure. A minimal price is charged for each of these good reads.
